Relax…Take A Few Deep Breaths!
I am a bit behind on my duties here, I’ve been trying to get it all done at once, however things weren’t exactly cooperating with me. So often, I’ve got to tell myself to STOP…take a few deep breaths & relax. Sometimes things are just out of our control, you know?
Take for instance yesterday…I turned on the desktop, but couldn’t navigate to the little icon to logon. Okay, the batteries in my wireless mouse died again. So I went downstairs and got 2 AA’s & headed back up to my office. I popped them in & voila, my mouse was again functioning…yippee! I sat down, ready to check my email for the first time, BUT…now nothing happened when I tried to type. HUH??? I’m pressing everything, thinking that I somehow locked something. NOTHING! I’ve got to tell you, I was getting quite frustrated.
I picked up the keyboard(yes, that’s wireless too) & was actually swinging it around, wanting so very much to slam it into something, just to watch it break into a bunch of pieces. I don’t know why that is so satisfying sometimes. But then, that little voice inside my head talked me down…RELAX, just relax! Okay, now I am feeling much more rational, so I decide to see just what might be going on with it. NO, that couldn’t be it, could it? Could the batteries have gone bad on that, too? On the same day? I had this keyboard for 6 years & NEVER replaced the batteries, so that was looking like it was a pretty good bet! But when I went for the mouse batteries, I only had one AA left in the pack & needed 2 for the keyboard. Geez! So, I went to the store and bought batteries, came home, popped them in my keyboard, ready to start work. NOT…nothing happened. And, because I had never changed them in the keyboard, I didn’t know about a reset button. I went online to get the answer, but by now, it is 1 1/2 hours later & I’m just getting started. Oh well!
I am so glad that our lives are only ‘sprinkled’ with days like those, and the majority are smooth sailing, if you know what I mean.
We take so many things for granted sometimes, don’t we? Just like I expected the computer-every part of it to work when I turned it on. Some things in life take some perseverance, you have got to keep pluggin on. You must learn to take the good days with the bad AND MOVE FORWARD. So, what do you say…would you like to move forward WITH ME? I hope so-let’s learn together! We’ll have a few tough days, but you know what, they will be few & far between. The trick is to keep a positive attitude and to not dwell on the bad stuff. Okay, here we go…………
I visited a blog today started by a student of John Thornhill’s Marketing Masterclass by the name of Kathy Dobson. Her daughter had sent her a link to this video & she had it featured on her blog. Man, does this hit home for me, as well!
Kathy…my acknowledgment to you for the idea to feature this TRULY INSPIRING SONG! Also, Thanks Miley-it’s a keeper!

Great to see your blog up and running again, I couldn’t access it a few days back.
These things are sent to try us, huh?

Hi David,
Thanks for stopping back! Yes, I just got the blog back up last night…what can I say? Hence the title…but, now it’s onward & upward-right David?
Take care of yourself,
Joann
Roger says:
Joann, I know *exactly* what you mean as I seem to be having “one of those days” today !
Myself, I like things that you can plug in to other things (although I do use wireless for my laptop occasionally).
But one tip that seems to work sometimes is to take tired batteries out and hold them wrapped in the palm of your hand for a few minutes. I don’t know why, but sometimes, this seems to give them enough “juice” to go for a short while longer. That might just be enough to allow you to get done whatever it was you were in such a hurry to get done !
Have a great day
Roger
Joann says:
Hi Roger,
Yes unfortunately I’ve just topped it with my latest feat-I just managed to mess up my whole PPP! I am shaking right now. I tried to redo it, but I think that somehow, with all of my technical wisdom, I messed up the server-NO GOOD!!!
Thanks for stopping by-take care!

Hi Kin,
Thank you for that nice comment, I do appreciate it! Some times are a lot easier than others to write. My problem is finding the time to DO IT ALL! I’m sure that there are many people with less time to spend than I have, so I need to be thankful for the time that I do have.
Thanks so much for stopping by to visit, Kin!
I wish you the very best-take care,

Barbara Harvey says:
Hi Joann – Thanks for stopping by at my blog site – glad you liked it. After reading your post – you could have been writing about me! I dread to think how many products I bought thinking this is the one – I know feel like a completely ‘poor’ idiot. I fell for every offer hook, line and sinker. I was every marketers dream come true. Glad to know I was not the only one. But I agree with you after hearing about Alex J from John Thornhill I just knew this was going to be different and so far – I am now motivated and focused and I WILL suceed!! Here’s to success to us all.
Regards – Barbara
Joann says:
Hi Barbara,
I suspect there are quite a few other people who could echo our sentiments about being swindled by these ‘so called’ gurus! We found ourselves the RIGHT MENTOR NOW, though and you’re right…we WILL succeed!
I truly wish you the best, Barbara-take care,
Joann

Hey Mick,
Thanks for the visit-I’m glad that you stopped by. You know, I think there have been an awful lot of Alex’s students who have experienced some type of frustrating thing since we have started our coaching. And, like I said, some days are a lot easier to deal with this downright upsetting stuff. Thankfully, you have a few great days in between the rotten ones!
As always, Mick-I wish you the best!
Take care,
Joann
Heidi Passey says:
Hi Joann,
I can totally understand what “those days” are like. A few months back my kitten used to sit on my laptop keyboard all the time. She somehow hit a key that actually DID lock up my keyboard. It took me forever to figure out how to fix it. She kept doing it too, I think she knew what she was doing. LOL I finally had to start closing it if I was going to be away for awhile.
What a great, motivational song. I should listen to it each day before working

Hi Heidi,
That’s really funny-somehow kids AND animals know just what buttons & keys to hit to cause trouble for us, don’t they? It depends on our frame of mind at the time & how we react to the situation, BUT SOMETIMES…
I’m so glad that you stopped by to visit my blog-I appreciate it!
Take care-I wish you the best,

I am a student of Alex Jeffreys I have been looking around at fellow students blogs and came across yours. Definitely one of the best. I felt I had to leave a comment because your blog is simply, so inspirational and informative, It has given me hope and ideas to better mine.
It is so clean and fresh looking. I am always worried I overdo it myself, to much content you know. Your blog is just right. I would appreciate if you would pass comment on mine just to confirm I haven’t overdone it. On my blog I am doing a theme on successful internet marketers. Really like to know what you think as I am pretty new to all this layout stuff. I hope one day that I can write about your internet success. Keep up the good work

Hi Trevor,
I am so happy that you stopped be to visit me! THANK YOU for the very nice comments, I really appreciate them!
I have some internet marketing background, but compared to some of the students in our class, I have some catching up to do. Many of my posts are related to motivation, or inspiration because I follow so many people who teach such information & I am absolutely fascinated with all of it. SO…my blog is a bit of a combination of the two. I TRULY BELIEVE that we do control our destinies, whether we want to take credit for our actions, or not!
I wish you the very best, Trevor-take care!

Good day, sun shines!
There have been times of troubles when I didn’t know about opportunities of getting high yields on investments. I was a dump and downright stupid person.
I have never imagined that there weren’t any need in big initial investment.
Now, I’m happy and lucky , I started take up real money.
It’s all about how to select a proper partner who uses your funds in a right way – that is incorporate it in real deals, parts and divides the income with me.
